RunQuest ("the app") is developed and maintained by Parallel Ones (the developer of RunQuest). This policy explains how information is handled when you use RunQuest.
We do not directly collect, store, or transmit personal information from users. All data you generate in the app — including your runs, XP, levels, streaks, titles, and badges — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never sent to our servers.
We do not operate user accounts, require sign-in, or maintain any backend database of user activity. We do not perform profiling, behavioral tracking, or analytics on user data.
However, third-party services integrated into the app, such as our advertising provider, may collect certain data as described below.
RunQuest displays ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising SDK. AdMob may automatically collect and transmit certain information in order to serve ads, including:
This data is collected, processed, and controlled by Google — not by Parallel Ones. Google acts as the data controller for information collected through AdMob. We do not receive or store this data ourselves. The behavior of third-party SDKs such as AdMob is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which are outside our direct control.
Data collected by third-party services may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States.
You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy. To manage your Google ad settings, visit adssettings.google.com.
On iOS, Apple requires apps to request your permission before accessing your IDFA for personalized advertising. When you first launch RunQuest, you will see Apple's standard tracking permission prompt.
If you grant permission, AdMob may use your IDFA to serve personalized ads. If you decline, RunQuest will continue to function normally and ads will still be displayed — they will simply be non-personalized.
You can change this permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
For users in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other applicable jurisdictions, any data processing by third-party advertising services is based on your consent, as obtained through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You may withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your tracking permissions as described above.
Because we do not directly process personal data, we do not independently rely on any other legal basis such as legitimate interest.
We do not sell your personal information. Parallel Ones does not receive, store, or profit from the sale of user data in any form.
However, under California law, data shared with third-party advertising partners for the purpose of serving targeted advertising may qualify as "sharing" personal information. If you are a California resident and wish to limit this, you can opt out by declining the ATT tracking prompt or by disabling personalized ads in your device settings.
If you grant RunQuest access to Apple HealthKit, the app reads workout and activity data solely to power in-app features such as challenge tracking. This data is never shared with third parties — including advertising partners — and never leaves your device. HealthKit data is not used for advertising, data mining, or any purpose other than providing app functionality.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its processing. Because Parallel Ones does not collect or store personal data, most such requests should be directed to Google for data held by AdMob.
To submit a data request to Google, visit myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.

RunQuest is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly enable the collection of personal information from children, including through third-party advertising SDKs. If we become aware that a child under 13 has been subject to tracking through our app, we will take steps to address it, which may include disabling personalized advertising for that user.
If you believe a child has been affected, please contact us immediately.
Parallel Ones does not transmit your personal data, so there is no data in transit on our end to protect. All app data remains on your device under Apple's iOS security protections.
Please be aware that third-party services such as Google AdMob do transmit data via their own infrastructure. The security of that transmission is governed by Google's security practices and policies.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
